I still don’t understand why none of my art teachers ever told us this.
basically because it’s not true and the pigment ink from printers is not the same as pigment from paint
you can’t just pick up those colours at a good paint store cause you have to mix colours to make cyan and magenta which you don’t have to do to make blue and red cause those pigments occur naturally
red and green are contrasting colours, not green and magenta and red and blue so this colour wheel just isn’t accurate
you’ll also learn in art class not to mix with black rather browns or even just mixing colours until you get something darker
